A wide, black bowl rising from a base of clear, sculpted glass. The clear strands were drawn and laid by hand at the furnace, one by one, so the base looks like a tangle at first and turns out to be precisely built when you come closer. The black top is calm and still; the base is pure movement. Hand-blown at Kosta Boda in Sweden. One of a kind. On view at A4A Gallery in Brooklyn.
